Steering damper

I got a steering damper from EPM Performance on Monday. It's a nice looking bit of kit from Hyperpro. I got it as part of a group buy at Adventure Rider.So, why add that to the bike? One word: Labrador. When I got the bike into a tank slapper and wrecked the bike a damper would have very likely saved my butt. The tank slapper started off with a big rock deflecting the front wheel a bit the continued with the front wheel never being able to get consistant traction again -- it turned into an oscillation that grew and grew until the front-end tucked under.I got it all installed on Tuesday morning before work. It all fit together well. The problem is that the damper was somehow loose inside and it spit up some of it's oil.I spoke to Klaus at EPM... so back it goes for the warrantee replacement.
