Jimmy Carter. Almost.
We were going to meet Jimmy Carter today. Not that we're special in any any really. The only specialization we had was the ability to buy a book from Joseph Beth. You see Mr. Carter has a new book out that are an edited version of his White House diaries, called unsurprisingly "White House Diary."Ennie and I spent out lunch "hour" at the bookstore making smalltalk with Bob. (No, not that Bob) Bob's an interesting fellow and all, but we came to at least see one of the living presidents. You only have so many opportunities to actually meet a president. This wasn't one of them it turns out.He got sick on the plane ride over and got checked into MetroHealth and missed the signing. At least he's OK.While a lot of people think he wasn't the best president, I think he's probably one of the best men out there in terms of the world. He's one of the best diplomats out there. On top of that he supports some of the same causes I do. The biggest one being Habitat for Humanity. He's a good guy and I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to shake his hand.
