Gas Prices: A Rant (...and not what you expect!)
I had to buy gas today. I went to the Sunoco by my office to acquired the said gas. (29605 Aurora Rd, Solon, OH 44139)It was $4.00 a gallon for the 91 octane gas. (Regular was only $0.14 cheaper and my car runs better with the higher octane with the higher compression from the turbos)Now, unlike most people, I don't mind paying a lot for gas. I think it the price that we should have been paying before -- the full price when you account for everything that you're doing to the environment. Hell, it's cheaper than the $7/gallon gas I bought ont he Al-Can. If nothing else it give me more incentive to ride my motorcycle for twice the distance per dollar. Or better yet my bicycle!No... the problem was with the pump system.
I didn't stop at $50.00 because my tank was full. I stopped because they only authorized $50.00 on my card for the transaction. With the rising gas prices, what's the point of limiting you to $50 a shot? What if I'm driving a big truck for my business? Would I run three or four transactions to fill up?Gaaahhh!"Full" was a bit over than five more gallons:
Stupid, stupid, stupid.Someone aught to fix this anachronism. It made sense when things were $1.50, but not when it's $4.00.I submitted it to Sunoco's "customer incident" form... I'll see if that gets me anywhere toward fixing this annoyance.
