Gas Prices: A Rant (...and not what you expect!)
I had to buy gas today. I went to the Sunoco by my office to acquired the said gas. (29605 Aurora Rd, Solon, OH 44139)It was $4.00 a gallon for the 91 octane gas. (Regular was only $0.14 cheaper and my car runs better with the higher octane with the higher compression from the turbos)Now, unlike most people, I don't mind paying a lot for gas. I think it the price that we should have been paying before -- the full price when you account for everything that you're doing to the environment. Hell, it's cheaper than the $7/gallon gas I bought ont he Al-Can. If nothing else it give me more incentive to ride my motorcycle for twice the distance per dollar. Or better yet my bicycle!No... the problem was with the pump system.I didn't stop at $50.00 because my tank was full. I stopped because they only authorized $50.00 on my card for the transaction. With the rising gas prices, what's the point of limiting you to $50 a shot? What if I'm driving a big truck for my business? Would I run three or four transactions to fill up?Gaaahhh!"Full" was a bit over than five more gallons:Stupid, stupid, stupid.Someone aught to fix this anachronism. It made sense when things were $1.50, but not when it's $4.00.I submitted it to Sunoco's "customer incident" form... I'll see if that gets me anywhere toward fixing this annoyance.
