W8DFL QSL Cards - 6/6/2011
Today: a mixed bag.Most of the cards are the classic big bold letters on a card with the details on the back. We do have a couple of exceptions from paradise however:
While not a real picture... it's from paradise. From what I read, Seven Mile Beach is hyped to be the best beach in the Bahamas. I'm guessing Bill over here went to a the Cayman Islands and set up a rig in the hotel room as a mini DXpedition.There's another one from the Cayman Islands as well, but it's not too impressive. But you do have a cool turtle:
A flying turtle is cool! Nothing wrong with that, even if the rest of the card is pretty standard.
I'm still wondering if the guy sitting by the stack of radio gear is almost a piece of clip art. ;-) I don't know too much about New Zealand other than the guy I work with out in Foster City and he's a fun dude!
The last one is kinda cool because of last week's post:
This is a continuation of the African politics from last week. Last time it was Northern Rhodesia, today it's the other half of the country.This is from The Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. This chunk became Zambia. I think I have to to a timeline of Africa and how this all changed over time. All of this was right in the middle of all of the political turmoil that was going on.
