Excitement

The type of excitement you feel about your job that makes you want to keep working on a problem even when you go home.Why keep working on work?Not because someone is forcing you to.Because it's just so frickin' cool!It's something that I've not felt in a while. It's something that's just almost within reach right now.This makes me happy. Really happy.It's the excitement that comes from knowing that you're doing the right thing.Many times when you make a decision you don't have full knowledge of what's going on. When spinning the wheel you don't know if the ball is going to land on red or black. You need to act on a hunch.Sometimes you get validation that your hunch is right. Someone tells you that it's landing on black.That is exciting too.The sun just came out from behind the gray (literally and figuratively). I'm smiling knowing that things are going to turn out just fine.Life is good.Do I know exactly where things are going?No.But that's OK.
