Business Cards

I came to an interesting conclusion today while talking to En today -- business cards still have a place in the world.Sure, you can say that in the current era of connected devices you don't strictly need to have the pieces of paper. You can exchange information in all sorts of electronic forms between phones -- if you can get that to work that is.Business cards are like the vinyl records of the past. They have a big area to express yourself. You have color -- good or bad is for you and and who you hand it to.More important than all that is the protocol of the exchange. You hand it to someone, they look at it and put it on the table or pocket or purse. The formality aside you continue on. If you actually want to talk to the person later you asynchronously enter it into whatever you use to keep track of people. If, on the other hand, you're talking to a random you do the same thing and then discard. The asynch part is the important. there's no more struggle to get the incompatible devices all talking together. It saves time. It saves face if you don't care about 'em.
