Data-mining Dating

A read an interesting, if somewhat old, blog post from OkCupid today.In case you were wondering, OkCupid is an online dating site that's a bit less formal than places like Match.com or eHarmony.In any case... what they did was analyse bunches of opening messages to see what was the response.I guess none of the results are really that surprising, but it's an interesting problem set to throw a bunch of CPU at. It boils down to be smart, be interested in the person you're messaging, and try to be interesting yourself. heh...Ok, so maybe it's not news.  :-P
