Two Hundredths of a Second
That is how much slower I was than 2nd place at the carting track. Fourth place was another 5 hundredths slower than me.We went to H1B^H^H^H K1 karting today as a birthday party activity today. It's amazing that (just like when I did my track day) you get so frickin' tired at the end of the deal. The car is doing all the work, right? But you're still tired anyway.

It was a short track; my best time was in a bit quicker than 18 seconds. The track record is just a hair over 16.5s. The last of three races was the most fun and the most frustrating. We wound up with three of us that were evenly matched lapping within a hundredth of a second or so of each other. The short track made me conscious of the passing areas and made me drive more defensive than I would typically. Passing and repassing happened a few times over the 10-lap race.

Arlen was the fastest in all of the races.
