Washington Prop 74

We had another discussion over some beers today over Washington Proposition 74.Prop 74 is to approve what the state legislature has already done: legalizing same-sex marriage.But let's go back a few steps... for a long, long time interracial marriage was also illegal. People were prosecuted for that. Now, looking back, the State of Virginia was on the wrong side of history. Nearly half of Mississippi Republicans thinks it still should be.I look at that -- them -- and think that they are a collection of half-wit, bigoted, close-minded idiots that don't deserve the air they breathe. They are on the wrong side of the argument. They are on the wrong side of history.Most of the US agrees now. At the time they didn't. It wasn't "activist judges;" it was common sense that prevailed.We are going through the same thing now.The right of people to marry is, and very much should be a right that everyone has. Bunches of people argue against it for no good reason.If two people that love each other getting married is enough to upset the apple cart of your own marriage shouldn't you need to question your own marriage? What gives you the need to restrict what others can do that in no way affect you? I'm not going to go over the list of arguments now... I can but I don't see the need at the moment.Over time this will be decided in the name of rights not obstructions. People that argue now will be on the wrong side of history, like many people in the past were.Please approve WA Prop 74.
