Traditions

Yesterday, as everyone knows, was Valentine's day.All the couples know because of the expectations that everyone layers on to the day. Everyone who is un-coupled knows it because they miss out on the fun.

Yesterday Ennie and I did the single thing and went to Savage Love Live. Dan Savage, from the free newspaper The Stranger writes the weekly column "Savage Love," a syndicated sex and relationship advice column.He was throwing a "singles only" event at the Neptune Theater on Valentine's Day. Couples, of course, including us, crashed the party. He was taping a live edition of the podcast he does to augment the written column.Listen to the show when it comes out. I'm guessing next Tuesday.

Ennie and I have a tradition of not going out to do the couple thing on V-day. We go out the day before or after and leave the normal crowd to duke it out on the "proper" day. We've been doing this as long as I can remember.Traditions are kind of cool.  :-)
