Neighborhoods
Something that I like about Seattle is all the neighborhoods that are around here. There are lots of little micro-areas here.I started to think about this a bit more after my co-worker was looking for a house here. He's looking somewhere in the central area of Seattle. I started to look around there... he's looking in Minor, right next to another co-worker in Leschi overlooking Lake Washington.Today we went to Hop-Scotch (awesome beer and Scotch tasting!) in Freemont. On the way we took the bus through Phinney. Tomorrow we're likely going to do something a bit less harsh to our livers and go to some park. We could choose from Golden Gardens in Ballard, or perhaps Discovery in the Lawton Park section of Magnolia, Carkeek in Broadview, or simply walk to Green Lake. (And that's just some of our options)When we first landed here we lived in Bell Town on the Sound and had a good taste of what downtown offers.I work in South Lake Union while En is in the Denny Regrade area of downtown.Of course on most days I take a nice hike up to Capitol Hill just for fun... And these are just a small subset of all of them. All distinct neighborhoods in Seattle. All different, but all still Seattle. It's nice.
