Something about Seattle
Today we went down to Fremont -- the center of the universe -- to the Solstice festival. We were greeted by naked folks on bikes (pics tomorrow for all you to perv on). This, of course, was not a surprise and is part of the reason we went down. This is why several hundred -- perhaps several thousand, I'm not sure of the number -- cyclists went down, got painted and rode the route from Ballard to Gasworks. Some were painted in quite the fanciful get-up. Some not so much. All seemed happy.Of course this was a family friendly atmosphere. Kids were seeing naked people. OMFG! Nope. It's a nothing out here. Oh, look Junior, he/she's naked. Whatever. Non-issue. Everyone has a body. All of us look more or less the same. All of us are beautiful. :-) On the longest day of the year (well, it was yesterday, but it's close enough) it was simply a celebration of us.Next year... ;-)I <3 Seattle.I really do.I really love this town. I love calling it home.
