One Year - Part 8

Just over a year ago, June 26th of last year to be precise, we got the keys to the house.

I feel like we've just settled in for real. Up until a bit ago there were still a few small piles of boxes around from the move, but now there's basically a small collection of model train stuff that's in the love nest.We've started to make some friends.We've started to get more of a feel for the environment.All the while I'm more and more in love with this place, this city.

The only time I had ever been to the city before accepting an offer here was for the interview. Before that I had never been here. So, in many ways, moving here was a shot in the dark. It was a huge gamble.Selling the house in Solon, buying a house here, dealing with the purchase process and the idiots at Bank of America. All the stress of not knowing if the house in Solon will sell in time...It all worked out; the gamble has paid off.
