Limited Time
A thought occurred to me as I walked in the door after work. With Ennie working on dinner -- with an ETA of an hour-and-a-half -- we would be sitting down at around 8:30 and done with dinner at 9:00-9:30. I had the realization that as we're trying to get more connected, some things were more getting in the way than really helping. The problem isn't one of a single event, but more of a pattern that we've fallen into over the years. A pattern that in many ways was pushing us apart. Now, I'll be the last one to say that food, good food in fact, isn't important. But that food can't come at too high a price. This isn't earth shattering news. This isn't something that is anything other than a mundane thought at a fundamental level. While it's not new, it's still important.

We warmed up some leftovers and ate right away before connecting some more after dinner.
