Try it, you might like it
If you don't try things, how do you know if you might like it? If you try something once and not like it, how do you know if you just didn't get a bad example of it?

A friend is out maybe trying some new things tonight. It's a chance to see what she likes and what she doesn't.

If you go to a restaurant and see something you don't know on the menu is the first thing you do is order it? Do you not order it? Do you pick it off your friend's plate? It's like that. You can try something new and it can turn out that you don't like it. At least you know. (Although I would encourage trying it again a different time -- you might've had a bad chef or you might just need to develop a taste for it) If, on the other hand, you like it, well hot damn, you've broadened your repertoire a bit. You can use that as a stepping stone to other new things too.

You never know how far you might go.
