Planned Emergency

Yesterday I got a call from my credit card company -- Chase -- who writes my Amazon credit card. It seems that a batch of cards had been compromised by some online vendor and it seems that they need to issue me a new card.No problem.As I was talking to the lady (who sounded like she as from India) she asked if "I had any planned emergency transactions I needed to do while she was on the phone with" me.Umm...Even after I explained that if I had planned the emergency it wouldn't be and emergency she didn't quite get it.Today I got a new card that's a lot less worn out, and presumably safe to use.

I'm all about being ready for an emergency. Planning to account for one. But I don't plan my emergencies.It might just be me though.
