Rattle rattle flip gone...
I was riding to work this morning in the... what is the word... "crisp" air. Ahh, screw it. It was just plain cold and frigid.I got off the highway and made my questionably legal right turn (there's no sign prohibiting it, but it seems sketchy honestly) and headed towards my office. I was about to turn left onto Republican when I heard a bit of a rattle.I saw the windshield shift a tiny bit.No worries... I'm four blocks from the office and I'll tighten up the screws that hold it on when I park.I turned left and accelerated down the hill towards my office. The rattle became a bit more with speed.
The Laminar Lip that I had attached on top of my windshield had parted ways from the windshield to which it was attached!
The rattle soon became something flying up and over my helmet! Over the course of around two cold seconds the rattle went from starting to catastrophic. The Laminar Lip that I had attached on top of my windshield had parted ways from the windshield to which it was attached! I glanced back when I figured out what happened I saw it growing small in my mirror with some cars approaching it. :-( There is, I'm quite sure, some plastic shards where the circle on the map is.By the time I would've been able to turn around and get it I'm quite sure it would be in a few pieces. I decided to continue on to work with my bike a bit lighter. You can see the thing that flew off on the pic up top. It's the bit of plastic that flips up on top of the windshield.

The problem with the Adventure windshield is that it's noisy and buffet-y. Now I have to figure out what to do. I can buy a new lip for around $90 or I can shop around for alternate windshields. I'm thinking of the latter route for now. Until then I guess I have to deal.
