Problematically Pedantic

Something I know about myself is that I'm pedantic about language and concepts.This is good and bad...My day job is programing and designing software. Precision in this line of work is a good thing. Knowing exactly how the pieces of a system fit together is critical.In talking to "normal" people this tends to frustrate them quite a bit. If you know me you know that I tend to pick things apart to understand what's really going on.This is something that I can't really help... it's just the way I'm wired I suppose.On top of that I have a lot of odd interests where I really do know a bunch about lots of strange things. When you happen to stumble on one of those things I really tend to piss off people.Sorry... I'll try to be more careful.
