Silver linings

Yes, another damn post that relates to the break-in at storage. Sorry.While a bunch of our stuff got stolen -- and much now has been re-purchased -- we still need to keep things organized. The storage unit let us spread out a bit and be more haphazard with how we were keeping things.Our camping gear was spread out over four boxes plus the sleeping pads. I think we've been able to consolidate things down to the point where we have one primary box and two smaller boxes that are able to go in the attic that contain our "festival" camping gear -- think: big tent, canopy, lantern, stove, etc.We might be able to get it down to one box plus a couple of loose items.Lacking space is a forcing function.We're also taking a hard look at the space under the porch. Installing another shelf down there would make a huge improvement to what we can keep there. Today I poured (well, troweled) some concrete that'll serve as a base for a support for a shelf there. Tomorrow, with a bit of luck (timing mainly) I'll have the shelves built.It's forcing us to do the work.In a way it's almost a good thing.Almost.
