Soylent - v1.4
A quick review of Soylent -- again.I tried to do a week of Soylent back in November and managed to do around four days before I was done with it. I was done trying to be exclusively Soylent, but I wasn't done with Soylent.Back then I was using the v1.1 formula. It was OK, but it wasn't spectacular. One of the downsides was they had an enzyme that was supposed to reduce gas -- the problem was that the same enzyme was slowly breaking down some of the sugars after you mixed things up. This gave it a more watery mouthfeel and it didn't fill you up as well.v1.2 took that away and moved from the fish oil to an algal oil to get the mix completely vegan. v1.3 did a few tweaks mainly around flavor but it was mostly the same -- and had the same oil as v1.2.1.4 is a game changer. It does away with the separate oil mix and instead has the oil in powder form in the mix itself. Magic. Well, maltodextrin is surrounding microscopic bits of oil keeping it in a powder form. Oil, just add water. It also tastes a bit better I think. It's less sweet and has a bit of savory in there as well since it has a proper amount of sodium compared the previous iterations.

I've been having a small serving for most lunches lately. It's a good way to to portion control for me. Just today I'm also having it for dinner. The convenience of just mixing something up has something neat about it. No muss, no fuss. Energy. And I do feel good with it.
