Birthday over water

Happy birthday to my lovely Ennie. She wanted to be in Hawaii for her birthday, and so it is.Starting off a rainy day we took a rainy hike up to see Ioa Valley and the Ioa needle. It was a welcome respite from the heat of the apartment we're staying in. Most of the other tourists were all bundled up in the rain gear and hoodies and whatnot. We went all Seattle on it knowing that we're not about to melt.Then a quick read over the beach... I finished up my book that I was reading -- The Man in the High Castle.Finish with a beautiful sunset and dinner.I think I splendid way to spend one's birthday.  :-)
