Wall of Awesome - Part 1

Yesterday my skip-level asked me if I was interested in making the "Wall of Awesome," well, actually awesome.The intent of the "wall of awesome" is that it's a way to celebrate accomplishments of the team while at the same time excite everyone as they walk in the office. Right now there's a bit of celebration (which I can't share), but not a whole lot of excitement. There's a framed launch poster.The challenge, which I of course accepted, it to add some interactivity to the installation. The idea is that we can get an Echo hooked up for some fun Alexa integration. That then talks to a controller that will do something of a light show mixed with some fanfare.This series will be talking about what this entails.From a 100,000-foot view what I'm thinking is something that looks like this:
- Echo
- Alexa
- AWS Lamba
- AWS IOT
- Raspberry Pi
- Arduino microcontroller (maybe)
I'll dive into the details of each of these steps as I'm going through the design process. There will certainly be some hacking up-front with some breadboarding, and the final stages might even include spinning a PCB if I'm lucky.At the end, hopefully, you'll have the blueprint to make your very own Wall of Awesome for wherever you work.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
