Proto-rant: Doing something that actually does nothing

So much of the world is full of people trying to do something for the good of someone else in a way that simply does nothing.I'll pick on the most obvious example of this: "Oh, I'll pray for you." What an utter and complete cop out to actually getting off your ass and helping whatever cause you are praying for.The thing is that I'm seeing this all over the place as well -- places I'll get into in future posts. The thing that's even more insidious is that doing something that does nothing can also make you think that you've done something. If you think you've done your good deed you can go back to your normal life whilst patting yourself on the back: "job: done."In the end, you're doing less, and the problems still exist.
