28mm Minolta MD
I've had my Minolta X-700 for a long, long time. I've had her much longer than I've not. I got that camera from a K-Mart back when I was something like 12 or something. I still have the receipt somewhere for it in my files.I got it with a 50mm f/1.7 kit lens. It's a common configuration that I've seen online countless times.Today while I was out driving around with a friend of mine we decided to head north to Kenmore and the aptly named Kenmore Camera. I was half hoping to get a battery for my M10, but of course, they have none. They have a waiting list with eight people on it already. So we wandered back to the used gear. They had a few Minolta MD lenses sitting on the bottom of a lonely display case. A 28mm f/2.8, a 135mm f/3.5, and a 50mm f/something. I've been looking for a 28 for my rig for a while... the f/2 would be nicer, but, hell... $40 is a good price.I'm blessed (and rather cursed) to have Glazer's a few blocks from my office. They had some MD glass but they went away before I pulled the trigger.Tomorrow I think I'll take the old girl out with her new glass."New." :-) It's and MD-II that was made between 1978 and 1980. So sometime during the Carter administration.
