More design roundabout

I've been working on the slide scanning rig that I've been slowly (ok, too slowly) putting together. The part that was giving me grief lately is the top of the slide feeder. A couple of days ago I posted this design:This turns out to work splendidly well. The issue I was running into was that of a workable and printable chute that will feed the slides into the square rotating carrier. The difficulty is that this needs to be off the carrier by around 0.040" (1 mm). How to design that while keeping supports from messing everything else up?That's when I had my breakthrough.Separate the base and the chute with washers! Not only is it easier to tune the height, but printing problems go completely away when you can print right on the baseplate of the printer!:-D
