The Great Seattle Snowmageddon of 2019 (part 1) hit last Monday and our street has been icy ever since.

At its peak, even large 4x4s weren't able to get up the hill.

Of course lots of cars with crap tires kept trying.

Even today there is enough ice that if you don't have some combination of all-wheel drive, proper traction control, non-open differential, tires, or ability you wouldn't be able to make it up past the crest of the hill.

Spinning your wheels would only cause you roll backwards. Until you got down a couple of feet. Starting over, in the realm of static friction would give a little push up. Back to where the tires just spin.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Never quite making it to the top.
