Closing. Almost.

Today is the day we close on the house.

Well, it should have been the day we closed on the house.

I had to set up two wire transfers from two banks to the escrow agency. Yesterday, we went to each of these banks to make sure they were going to be sent today. (We went in after the Fed had closed so there was no way to wire it at that point)

One from KeyBank made it through just fine.

The other, from a different local bank, did not.

My guess is someone forgot to hit "send" this morning.

When we walked into the bank today at 2PM, the banker behind the desk seemed a bit nervous when we started to ask. She really felt the need to try to rush us out as she chased the problem.

Present status: stuck in a queue somewhere.
