Looking at where you've been
While flying out to San Francisco I flew over the southern part of Utah.
Right around here, give or take a bit, is where I was just two years ago when I was riding around Zion National Park.
It just struck me in a way. In a way it's looking back at my past. It's looking back at a time when things were different in so many ways.
Yet here I am. Not everyone else is. And so many other things are different.
I look and and just feel a bit melancholy. I'm happy where I am now, but it's a ponderous idea of all the other paths than may very well have played out. So many ways that the future could have been.
