Worlds colliding
If I mention Donald Knuth and Harmann Zapf, the only connection you come up with should be "digital typography."
Now Knuth is the author of The Art of Computer Programming series of books. He also invented computer typography as we know it today.
Hermann Zapf is a renowned typographer. He's designed, among other typefaces, some of my favorites: Optima and Palatino.
Then they made a book together: 3:16 Bible Texts Illuminated. It's a deep dive into 3:16 of each chapter of the bible -- complete with an illumination from Hermann Zapf himself.
Damn.
As an aside, I still cherish my check that I got from Mr. Knuth for finding a bug in a book.
