In a couple of weeks I'm flying out to hang out at my company's office.

I figured I would check how much more it would be to fly out a bit earlier in the week to visit Jackie in Seattle. What I thought was that I would just pick up the difference.

It turns out that flying out to Seattle earlier winds up being cheaper by nearly 20%.

I guess I'm saving the company money by taking three flights instead of two.

But you have to wonder about the economics of it all. Obviously it works out somehow, but damned if I know how.
