Even more birdies: Finches!

Just outside the front door to your left as you walk out the front door is a hanging basket with some flowers.

We also spied something else in there...

Ooh!

So this is the nest that some house finches made in the hanging basket -- nicely protected from the rain and most of the elements. (Though they'll have to deal with watering!)

So, this brings the count up to:

• One nest of mockingbirds (already fledged)
• One nest of sparrows (in the bush on the opposite side of the mockingbirds)
• The house finch outside the front door
• The bluebirds living in the birdhouse near the garden
• Two barn swallow nests in... wait for it... the barn

I just feel so dang lucky to be around all this in my life.
