Final Real Cuts

The thing I’ve been putting off for a while is cutting the holes in the back of the arcade cabinet. I needed one for the power jack, one for the ethernet, a couple of mesh-covered air intakes, and the last one for an exhaust fan.

The thing is, this is nearly an entire sheet of plywood and I don’t have another sheet to spare.

I had previously modeled the shape of the power socket, so that’s a no-brainer.

The other shapes were really easy to design completely in Shaper Studio. Then I used the Shaper Plate as the virtual template.

I’m so spoiled. I got the Shaper kid of on a whim because it was on sale. The more I use it, the more I think it’s kind of awesome.
