Working... out
Ever since around November of last year I've been working to lose some extra weight. This isn't about losing the extra baggage exactly. The way you drop the mass is to eat less (and hopefully better) and move more. This isn't rocket science. On the eating less I've been doing that. Honestly, Soylent is a good thing there. (You can argue about "better" or not, but it's excellent portion control)So this is about moving more. This year I've put nearly 1500 miles on my bike. By the end of the week I'll top that number since I'm sitting at 1493.4 miles. That's a lot of time on the bike.Nearly every day. In fact this week will be 10 weeks with a bike ride every day.Between work which has been taking up more time than I really want and more than an hour a day average of working out I'm realizing that I've not had time to do a lot of the things I like to do. It's tough... but it's the price I'm paying for being an ass to myself I suppose.Every day I'm losing what amounts to a day of productivity. :-/At the pace I'm going I have another month or so of the grind. By that time I'll have notched up a hundred consecutive days of working out. (I know it's not exactly perfectly healthy. But fuck it... I need to get where I need to get to.)Maybe that'll be my birthday present from the universe -- an extra day each week.
