Spoiled

I decided to go down to Portland with a friend for a couple of nights. On a lark, I decided to book a hotel room through my Amex's site. I chose the Kimpton Monaco Portland.And with that, I've been forever spoiled.It wasn't really more expensive than hotels I've stayed at in the past. Honestly, I've spent this much on last-minute stays on my trip in the spring in Utah.Except there I didn't get a complimentary bottle of wine, a room upgrade to a suite on the top floor, and a $75 credit to spend on frivolities like room service. And a personal note from the hotel... there's something about being made to feel special that is an amazing experience.To say I'm thrilled is understating things.  :-)
