For Transistor Radios

Yesterday I was using an old multimeter that I keep in my toolbox to check for continuity in a circuit. I set it to ohms mode on the 200Ω range and things were acting weird. Set to 2k it was fine. I figured it was the battery as you need a higher compliance voltage to measure lower resistances typically. I ran upstairs to get a new 9V battery. When swapping out the old one… it was a battery “for transistor radios.”

I think it’s been in there for a while!
